Kayla Connors

Originally from Switzerland, Kayla Connors moved to London to pursue a BA History & Curation at Central Saint Martins and later an MA. Immersed in the world of curation and creativity, she initially embarked on a career in documentary photography, later developing a profound appreciation for the cinema, refining her ability to convey stories through visual narratives. Connors' photography is distinguished by its narrative depth and cinematic quality. Her unique approach incorporates clothing as a narrative tool to construct characters and storylines that transcend typical fashion boundaries. Her work resonates with stories of nature, relationships and life bridging the gap between the fantasy of fashion and the present reality. She has been nominated at the upcoming Hyères Fashion Festival under photography and in 'talents to watch out for' in Dazed Spring Summer issue (2024). She is a regular contributor to Self Service, Dazed, Rave to name a few, and has recently shot Alexander McQueen under Simmonds’ direction.
