Thomas Cristiani
Thomas Cristiani’s career began with the fine arts. After graduating from art schools in Paris and Rotterdam, he initially started as a fine artist focusing on sculpture and installation. He exhibited his work in galleries and art centres such as 40mcube and Beaubourg / Centre Pompidou in Paris. Following his life-long passion, he then decided to embark within a different medium, establishing himself as a Photographer and Director. He has since shot and directed fashion and still-life campaigns for a range of notable clients. Although he progressed into photography, the influences from his early career as a fine artist are evident in his work today. His subjects resemble museum artifacts in the ways he composes them, mirroring imagery from classical paintings and sculptures. Juxtaposing the elements of art, people and styling, his photographs act as a record of fashion anthropology.
