Thurstan Redding
Born in Hong Kong in 1992, Thurstan Redding spent his formative years in France before pursuing a degree in Politics at Cambridge University, graduating in 2013. Following his studies, he embarked on a career in photography, developing a distinctive style that blends cinematic sensibilities with subcultural movements. Redding's impressive portfolio includes collaborations with esteemed fashion brands such as Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Hermès, Kenzo, and Burberry. His editorial work has graced the covers and pages of prominent publications including Arena Homme +, M Le Monde, AnOther, POP, Dazed, American Vogue, and WSJ. In addition to his commercial success, Redding released his first photographic book, Kids of Cosplay, which delves into the vibrant world of cosplayers, revealing the individuals behind the elaborate costumes. The book, art directed by Jean- Baptiste Talbourdet-Napoleone and Lolita Jacobs, cast by Establishment, and published by Thames & Hudson, was accompanied by exhibitions in Paris and London. It received critical acclaim including features on American Vogue, British Vogue, W, Dazed, i-D and CNN. Redding is currently working on his second book, further expanding his artistic horizons.
